It is an honor for me to serve as a child and adolescent psychiatrist, and to provide leadership for our professional Regional Organization.
I have three objectives I would like to focus on during my two-year term.
First, I want our organization to continue to provide its members with professional support, educational and networking opportunities, and legislative advocacy.
Second, given the severe shortage of child and adolescent psychiatrists world-wide, I believe recruitment and mentorship of pre-medical and medical students and psychiatry residents and fellows is a responsibility we have to our professional legacy.
Third, I would like to find ways for the wealth of wisdom and expertise in our membership to be disseminated to the community at large that is in need of our specialized services and knowledge. Let’s work together to ensure that the field of child and adolescent psychiatry continues to grow and develop in a healthy and sustainable way that enriches the lives of ourselves, our patients, and our communities.
